From 1996 to 2003 the Central California Poetry Journal published the work of poets who resided in or wrote about Central California . This site includes all currently published editions of The Journal. The Journal is not accepting submittals at this time. Due to a substantial increase in the number of submittals that were not related to either our subject matter or to our subject area, we ceased to publish new editions after 2003. We hope that you enjoy the many poems published in the Central California Poetry Journal.
Welcome to the 2003 edition of The Central California Poetry Journal. The Central California Poetry Journal represents the work of poets who reside in or write about Central California. Included on this Table of Contents page is a complete listing of all pages included in the 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997 and 1996 editions of The Journal. Nearly all of the poems featured in the Journal have been submitted by the authors.

The Journal is not accepting submittals at this time. Due to a substantial increase in the number of submittals that were not related to either our subject matter or to our subject area, we ceased to publish new editions after 2003.
All poems on this site deal with the Central California region. The Journal no longer accepts poems, articles, letters, or editorials relating to Central California or to any other subject matter.
The following criteria were used to determine whether or not poems submitted were posted in The Central California Poetry Journal:
Poems published concerned the Central California region. Poems concerning nature, the environment, the landform, the flora, the fauna and the people of Central California were preferred. We sought poetry which was indigenous to the region.
The pages we dedicated to specific poets included a biography of the poet's work. We requested that all submittals include a brief biography advising us of the residential location and background of the poet. We accepted the work of poets who did not reside in Central California, however poetry unrelated to our subject area was not accepted.
Poems had to be suitable for people of all ages.
We required that poetry copyrighted by any party other than the author be accompanied by written permission from the holder of the copyright.
Only poems submitted electronically as e-mail were accepted. Attached files were not opened.
