How to Submit Poems, Articles, or Letters to:

The Central California Poetry Journal

The Journal is not accepting submittals at this time. Due to a substantial increase in the number of submittals that were not related to either our subject matter or to our subject area, we ceased to publish new editions after 2003.

All poems on this site deal with the Central California region. The Journal no longer accepts poems, articles, letters, or editorials relating to Central California or to any other subject matter.

Our goals are:

To publish poetry which celebrates the unique Central California region.

To enhance the market for the poetry of this region through electronic publishing.

To produce a high quality poetry journal.

To optimize the readability of The Journal, while enhancing our pages for those with Netscape 1.1 or later browsers, where enhancements reflect the character and landscape of Central California.

To work toward readability of the Journal by those living with visual disabilities.

To provide a resource which can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

To recognize the other California poetry resources on the Internet, through the maintenance of links to those resources.

If your poem or article was not published in the Journal, this was not a reflection on the quality of your submittal, but only means that the material submitted was outside of the scope of this journal, did not meet our posting criteria, or for some other reason did not seem suitable for publication in the Central California Poetry Journal. This is a reflection of the taste of the editor, and not the quality of your verse. See our list of links to other poetry pages and don't lose heart. Posting criteria are listed on the Table of Contents pageof the Journal.

No poems, articles or letters submitted on paper were published by the Journal. No material was published without the written permission of the author, and/or the copyright holder.
